Herefordshire GP Access Centre provides the following services for all patients:

Easy access to healthcare

• Walk-in clinic for urgent care

Help staying healthy

• Contraceptive services (urgent)

Specialist services

• Treatment for minor injuries and illnesses including some wounds, cuts, bruises, sprains, strains and minor burns. As our service is limited you may be refurred for specialest care if indicated.
• Please note that we do not provide immunizations.

Self-care

Some minor ailments can be treated at home. If you or a family member suffer from coughs, colds or indigestion an over the counter medicine from your local pharmacy is likely to solve the problem. A pharmacist can also advise you on what medicines to keep at home in the event of illness.

Travel Vaccinations

Unfortunatley we do not provide travel vaccination. If you require any vaccinations relating to foreign travel you need to make an appointment with your own GP  practice nurse to discuss your travel arrangements.  This will include which countries and areas within countries that you are visiting to determine what vaccinations are required.

It is important to make the initial appointment with your GP practice nurse as early as possible  - at least 6 weeks before you travel - as a second appointment will be required with the practice nurse to actually receive the vaccinations. These vaccines have to be ordered as they are not a stock vaccine. Your second appointment needs to be at least 2 weeks before you travelto allow the vaccines to work.
